Seabound are announcing live shows after a rather long period of
concert absence. Subsequent to their successful US tour in the spring of
2008, they are planning out a double-headliner tour with German synthpop
veterans De/Vision for January 2009. Seabound are primarily focusing on
playing shows in cities in Canada and the US which they were not able to
visit on their last tour. Some first shows have been confirmed
and are about to be posted soon. However, local promoters interested in
booking shows might want to get in touch with Seabound's management
[management@seabound.de].
But the European fans haven't been forgotten either: Seabound will play
their first show in Germany after a 20 month silence. It will
take place at the Blackfield festival warm-up party on June 19th at
Bochum's Matrix (Germany). There might be another gig in Europe during the same
week - so stay tuned, we will keep you posted!

An exclusive DOWNLOAD is now available for a limited time to commemorate the joint Seabound / Iris Alliance Tour 2008. On select nights, Reagan and Frank performed "Watching Over You" together as an encore to the Seabound set. This duet was so well received that both bands and labels decided to record it and give it away as a free "Thank You"! This recording was made at the DNA Lounge, San Francisco (29 Mar 2008). We all hope to see you again in the near future.

Meanwhile Seabound have returned from their US tour. The band wants to thank everyone who contributed to this tour's success.
|
Special thanks goes to Andrew, Reagan, and Ned of Iris, the tour crew, as well as all people who attended the shows and who made this tour an unforgettable
event.
Seabound's live drummer Daniel has posted a BLOG about his tour impressions on his MYSPACE PAGE. In addition, Gabe Shaw blogged HERE about
his exhausting job as a tour backliner for Seabound and Iris.
In a few days, the band would like to, as a thank you, make an exclusive download available on this homepage - so stay tuned!

The Seabound mini tour is over! Our sincere thanks go to all of you who attended our shows despite train strikes in Germany, crazy London traffic, or bizarre parties in Braunschweig. Our special thanks go to those die-hard fans who travelled from the US, Sweden, Bulgaria or all the way through Germany to see one or two shows. You are crazy!

Over the past weeks, two remixes of "Domination" were completed and will
be released soon. The first remix was produced by fetish-cult-group DIE FORM, who present their first third-party remix for quite some
time. This remix will be released exclusively on the SEPTIC VII compilation, most probably the last installment in the legendary Septic
series by Dependent which will be released at the end of March.
The second track is a mash-up version of Seabound's "Domination" and the
so-far unreleased track "Bound" by MINDLESS FAITH. This uncompromising
dancefloor version is scheduled for release on the "VAMPIREFREAKS Compilation" on ALFA MATRIX sometime in May.
Seabound have also confirmed two live gigs in 2007: On 25 May they will
perform together with DISMANTLED, ROTERSAND, and PRIDE AND FALL in The Netherlands. On 27 May the band will play a show at the 16th WAVE-GOTIK-TREFFEN in Leipzig. More
details will be available here in the near future. Certainly, these gigs
are the first opportunity ever to catch Seabound perform tracks from the
most recent "Double-Crosser" abum live.

On 19 Jan 2007, Dependence 2 was released, a compilation brimful of exclusive and rare tracks from virtually all Dependent bands, including Mindless Faith, Fractured, Pride And Fall, Rotersand, Edge Of Dawn, mind.in.a.box, Suicide Commando, and Stromkern. Seabound's "The Promise" is featured in an alternate version unavailable on any other release. Edge Of Dawn offer a Forma Tadre remix of the new track "Damage". The compilation is a must-have sold at a nice price.
Unfortunately, the liner notes reveal unpleasant news: Stefan Herwig, label manager and friend, announces his decision to shut down the label later this year. We ask everybody interested in the matter to read his STATEMENT. Over the years, Dependent has gained a reputation for producing quality CDs and supporting a range of fresh electronic acts. The label has received much praise both from music critics and fans (including high rankings in the German Alternative Charts).
